- --Outside
is beautifully landscaped with large trees, flowered
bushes, cemented walkway all around the house and also the walkway
goes throughout the backyard around the flower garden.
Wheelchair accessible with no stairs . Privacy fenced in
backyard. There is a large covered deck with lighting and fans.
Plenty of seating and tables for outdoor cookouts.
- --Inside
has 6 private rooms, large living room, eat in
kitchen/dining room. 2 bathrooms. Open shower to
accommodate shower chair. Large picture windows throughout main
living areas.
- --Rooms
are all one person private rooms with each having a
flat screen TV. with built in DVD player, electric hospital bed,
electric lift/reclining chair. Residents are free to decorate
their own private rooms to their taste.
- --The
people who work here...owner is a nurse of 20 years and
her and her husband live on the premises in the apartment
downstairs. There are two full time resident assistants and two
part time ones. Staff are trained nurses aides who have many
years of experience with the elderly population.
- --Activities
range from bingo, bean bag tic tac toe, remember
when recall games, multiple card and board games, bat the balloon,
ring toss, arts and crafts, reading materials, puzzles, tons of
movies, musicals and music choices. Spa days include a manicure
and pedicure. A licensed hair stylist visits as needed to
provide hair cuts and perms at no additional cost. We often cook
out on the grill during the nice months and spend time outside as the
resident desires. Outdoors provides various birdfeeders, plants
and wildlife to enjoy. We have a therapy dog "Koda" he is a
full blooded Labrador Retriever who loves our residents and their
families. He spends most of his time outdoors or downstairs with
the owners but likes to have routine visits with the residents and he
can never get petted too much!!! We have expanded basic cable in
each room and unlimited cable channels in living room.
- --Exercises
range from stretch and reach, meditation and range
of motion. We follow exercises provided by physical therapists
orders.
- --Food
services...we try to keep a variety of the residents
favorite foods in stock. We cook homemade meals for each meal
with an occasional delivery or take out on special occasions from
local pizza parlors, Chinese, Italian eateries. We make a
variety of dishes from roasts, stews, casseroles, soups and sandwiches
and pretty much everything in between.
- --Guest
hours are from 10am-6pm daily, with extended hours
in special circumstances
- --Bathing...bed
bath daily...shower weekly and as needed along with
the spa day on their shower day
- --Rooms
are cleaned daily with bedding changed weekly on
their shower day and as needed
- --We
provide assisted care up to total care.
Physical therapy, Occupational therapy, Speech therapy, X-rays, Lab
work, Monthly and as needed Physician visits and Podiatry visits are
all in home as well as Hospice care when the time comes.
- --Cost
is all inclusive due monthly at the beginning of the
month.
- --Medical
fees and co-pays along with prescription fees and
co-pays are not included.
